DUPLANK
The Premium LVL Scaffold Board Range
DUPLANK (or TOPplank) is a premium LVL Scaffold Board product supplied by Duscaff.
The boards are manufactured by MLT Ltd; Europe's largest LVL producing facility.
DUPLANK is an engineered wood product with physical and mechanical properties surpassing solid timber and glulam, manufactured from premium European LVL (Laminated Veneer Lumber). The structural uniformity of LVL makes it the perfect solution for a safe, lightweight scaffold plank. Each DUPLANK is made by laminating thin veneers together which increases the reliability and strength of the product.

Quality Control and Structural Verification
DUPLANK is manufactured under the procedures of the VTT184/03 certificate and the EN 14374.
Each DUPLANK is individually proof tested to verify the strength of each plank exceeds the bending moment requirements for the working loads set out in the Live Load Duty Category Table 1 below.
DUPLANK Span and Load Tables
Table 1. Scaffold Platform Duty Categories (as per AS/NZS 1576 & 1577)
1kN is approximately 100kg.
Table 2. Span table based on L/60 OSHA requirements
Table 3. Load Table
1/60 deflection limit.
Applicable for single span and continuous planks.
UDL calculated with 3 load combinations.
PL calculated with 7 load combinations.
One PL allowed in each span.
UDL = uniformly distributed load.
PL = point load.
DUPLANK IS A STRONG AND LIGHT LVL SCAFFOLD PLANK
The structural uniformity of LVL combined with the strict quality control of all processes of manufacture ensures DUPLANK is safe and for purpose as scaffold planking.
The superior technical characteristics of DUPLANK make it ideal for use in place of other LVL scaffold planks and ordinary timber planks. Use of DUPLANK is also advantageous:
• In the chemical industries and marine applications for corrosive environments.
• Where the electrical insulation properties of DUPLANK are another safety advantage.
• Where sparks arising from metal on metal contact may present a hazard for safety.
• Where the scaffolding layout precludes the use of a modular system.

NUMBER OF PLIES AT 38MM THICKNESS
DUPLANK is homogeneous with superior strength properties and is proof-tested to ensure compliance to the OSHA and ANSI A 10.8- 2001 Standards and is stamped accordingly.
Its outstanding technical characteristics is a result of a combination of best quality raw materials, high-tech equipment, and brand new production technologies. To ensure production of best quality LVL we use 1 additional veneer ply for every thickness beginning with 38mm (14 veneer plies instead of 13 for the thickness 38mm and 15 veneer plies instead of 14 for the thickness 42mm with every single veneer thickness of 3mm).
